We are pleased to announce an update to the LawMatic Property Management application that simplifies working with attached files.
What changed?
Previously, to attach files to objects (for example, EGRN extracts in XML, scans of applications to join an HOA or housing association in PDF, and so on), you had to specify the exact path to the folder where each individual file was stored.
There is now a more flexible option: you can point to a single “root” folder that holds all your working files. The application will automatically look for the right files not only in that folder but also in all nested subfolders.
Benefits of the new approach:
- Convenience: You no longer need to specify the path to every separate folder with files. It is enough to set one shared directory once.
- Flexibility: You can organize folder structure however suits you (by year, document type, property, and so on), and the application will still find the files it needs.
- Time savings: Adding and finding attached files becomes simpler.
How it works
When configuring file paths in the application, simply choose your main folder where all documents are stored (extracts, scans, photos, and so on). When looking for an attached file, the application recursively walks all subfolders inside the directory you specify.
